- Do I need an account or an email address to use the calculators?
- No. Quilting Math requires no account, no email address and nothing to sign up for.
- Is anything I type uploaded or stored?
- No. Quilting Math runs arithmetic and writes the PDF in the browser with nothing uploaded, and nothing you type is uploaded, stored or seen by anyone but you. That is also why the site works on the shop's wi-fi.
- Can I share the figures with someone else?
- Yes. Quilting Math provides Shareable Links Where Figures Live In The URL, so a link can be shared and reopened. There are also Download PDF, Print and Copy link options.
- What can I set as inputs?
- You can set usable fabric width, backing overhang, binding strip width and seam allowance. The calculators print a cutting plan, not just a number.
- How much backing fabric can turning the fabric save?
- Turning backing fabric can save more than two yards.
- How do I ask for a correction or a new calculator?
- Quilting Math accepts corrections and requests for new calculators via the contact page. You can also email hello@quiltingmath.com.
- Does the site work on a phone or in a shop?
- The calculators run entirely in the user's browser, so nothing typed is sent anywhere and the site works on the shop's wi-fi. Quilting Math is a static site built with Astro and hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
